Enter and View: Bilston Health Centre

Our report following a visit to Bilston Health Centre (Dr V Mudigonda), where GPs along with the Practice Nurse and staff, including health visitors, provide a comprehensive range of health care.

This was an unannounced Enter and View visit which was conducted at Bilston Health Centre to gather feedback from patient’s experience in the practice and observe the environment and information provided to them.

Summary of Findings

The Enter and View visit at Ashmore Park Medical Centre was an overall positive visit. It is clear that the practice is making excellent steps in offering more support to patients with additional health needs. Patients raised concerns around access to appointments and patient involvement so recommendations have been made around these.

Overall the Authorised Representatives felt that the practice provided a good care service as the patients were saying.
There are a number of recommendations made to help further improve the patient experience:

  • Communicating Care Navigation to patients
  • More information about the Patient Participate Group (PPG)
  • Patients choice of appointments and who with
  • Better communication with patients about getting appointments
  • Information about how to make a complaint or raise a concern should be made more accessible
  • Tell patients how their feedback is being listened to and acted on.
